Francais Langue Maternelle in East Coast and Katong

For francophone and bilingual families in Singapore, the challenge is often not speaking French once in a while. The challenge is keeping French alive as a complete language: reading, writing, spelling, culture and confidence.

French Studio supports children who already hear or speak French at home and need a regular learning environment outside the family routine.

Francais langue maternelle classes are designed for children who have meaningful exposure to French already. Some speak French with one or both parents. Others lived in a French-speaking country before moving to Singapore. The goal is to keep French active, accurate and connected to age-appropriate literacy.

A strong FLAM-style programme balances oral expression with literacy. Children need time to speak, but they also need vocabulary, spelling, sentence structure, reading habits and cultural references.

When children live outside a French-speaking country, French can become limited to family instructions or holiday conversations. A weekly class gives the language a social setting. Children see that French is not only something parents ask them to use; it is also a language for friends, stories, games and ideas.
